The Knife Sketch Competition presented by Forge Product Development LLC is held annually each year in the weeks leading up to Blade Show. It serves as a primer for the show, creating an opportunity for the Knife community to connect, helping raise awareness of top brands and talent, and allowing enthusiasts of all types to compete for amazing prizes.

  • Get as many likes on your post as possible before the submission window closes at 5:00pm EST, August 7th 2020

After the submission window closes, all valid entries will be sent to the judges' panel for scoring

Final scores will be a combination of likes on the submission post and judges' points

The winners will be announced on August 11th

FAQ

What if I am a bad artist?

  • The judges scoring will be based on the design that is represented, not the quality of the artwork itself.

Would you accept drawings of a fixed blade, folder, balisong, sword, axe, machete or multitool?

  • Yes all edged tools are accptable

Does the sketch need to be of a side view?

  • Yes, the sketch should be of a perpendicular side view of the knife / tool. Isometric or off angle views will not be considered in the final scoring.

Can the design be based on an existing knife or tool?

  • Yes, however the design must be the sole ownership of the account that submits the sketch.

Can I hire an artist to redraw my design ?

  • Yes, however the design must be the sole ownership of the account that submits the sketch.

Can I use use Instagram add capability to get additional likes?

  • Yes, since it is impossible for us to monitor all submissions and confirm the use of adds, this is allowed.

Who owns the design if I submit it?

  • All ownership of the design and models belong to the submitter, however Forge Product Development LLC retains the right to publish the winning sketch, models, and any and all other content from the competition in its marketing and sales media. Prize is subject to Forge Product Development LLC’s terms and conditions.
